Feeling a bit romantic today...not sure why. Have spent chunks of the afternoon singing parts of "Let's Stay Together" to "Mrs Jon Paul" and remembering our wedding day. Perhaps I can clone myself, send the clone back in time to perform at MY wedding: I'd gladly spend the money we used for our rain-soaked honeymoon in Tenby in the middle of the foot-and-mpouth Crisis. LOL. Does that info age me at all? ;-)
Enjoy yourselves....and have fun.

A great gig tonight at a superb venue - The Maes Manor near Blackwood, South Wales. A pleasure to play here - a lovely room with a great stage and beautful starcloth backdrop that our stagelighting flushed with lovely colours before and during the live sets.
The newleyweds were a delightful and friendly couple called Gareth & Gemma, who chose to have two 30 minute sets of contempary rock, pop & soul followed by our Premium Disco - complete with the fantastic 4ft flame effect lights, which Gareth said were far above their expectations!
Working closely with my suggestions, after some deliberation Gareth & Gemma chose for me to sing Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately" as their first dance. They love REM, so at their request I also learned "Shiny Happy People" and another great track that Gareth even joined me on stage for a duet on his favourite song ("Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash), which was great fun and pleased the audience no end.
The crowd were a great bunch too, singing along to some of the other classic tracks Gareth & Gemma chose for me to sing - especially raucous during Sweet Caroline (Good call on that one guys!) Many of the guests were government employees from Gemma's place of work: and they certainly blew away the old cliche of dull grey clad boring government: a fantastic fun bunch that filled the floor all night: the kind of crowd that makes my job even more of a pleasure.
Enjoy yourselves....and have fun.

Well, finally got around to starting to write a blog for my re-booted website...er, this one folks. Here I hope to be both irreverant and insightful, to give you a bit of an overview of the world of Jon Paul Wedding Singer.
You'll have a chance to see the preparation and results of the work I do for weddings and events. You'll have a chance to read about some of the fantastic venues I play. Most of all, you'll have a chance to laugh at my many many spelling errors...thanks ahead for that! :-)
Enjoy yourselves....and have fun.
